Udaipur- My first love!

I was 7 when I visited udaipur for 1st time. Ever since then Udaipur became the place my family visits every year. When I first visited Udaipur city, I was enthralled by the noble touch and the magnetic beauty of the City of Lakes.

The glorious Udaipur forts and palaces, astounding City Palace, delightful lake Pichola, venturesome lake Badi and lovely cafes are a few places I love to visit again and again in Udaipur. The city had prearranged a sweet spot in my heart. It was such a delightful feeling of meeting an old lover!

City Palace is my favourite place in the city (it is a must visit place) The beautiful City Palace of Udaipur is situated at the bank of Lake Pichola and is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Some well-constructed balconies, windows, colourful tint glasses, marble and mirror work and the grand rooms will surely make you fall in love with the place. The palace also has a museum and a crystal Gallery which will give us a ride through the life of Maharajas in Udaipur.

The shopping streets are also one of the foremost places to visit in Udaipur! Well, who does not love colourful Rajasthani dresses, dupattas, kurtas and Mojaris.  Ashwini Market, Hathipole, Bada Bazaar, are some of the famous markets in Udaipur.

September to February is the perfect time to visit Udaipur for the chilly winter season! June to August has its own benefits , the city of lacks looks beautiful during rains!! Fight shy of visiting the city from March to June and save yourself from the fierce sun!!

Away from the chaos of metropolitan cities, Udaipur separates itself in an untroubled zone which makes it restful. Besides lesser crimes and less traffic, the town is on its own way to development which is adding to the beauty of the city day by day.
